Fused Glass Classes

You cut your glass, assemble it, put in the kiln - and magic happens!  Take our fused glass class and learn the wonderful transformation that happens when you fuse glass.

 For all our fused glass classes, please wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals!)  Also, please read our Cancellation Policy.

We have 2 new Fused Glass Classes:

EMBOSS YOUR GLASS:

Dates: open - Time: 9 - 4, $185 - includes supplies

In this class you will learn to emboss your fused glass.  You will make your work truly one of a kind by designing shape and adding texture to your glass art.  Using simple techniques you will learn how to utilize different fibre products and learn their many functional uses.  This class focuses on larger scale objects - plates, platters, etc.

 

TACK FUSED CLOCKS

Dates:  open  9-2, $140 - includes supplies

Come and explore the three dimensional side of fused glass!  In this class you will focus upon creating interesting and unique tack fused wall clocks.  You will learn about layering, holes and glass thickness, incorporating mechanincal components, circle cutting.  As well, you will explore a different textural side of frit, stringers, and pebbles.  Create a well-designed and functional clock that you will enjoy for years to come.

 

BEGINNER FUSED GLASS CLASS

Dates:  Saturday  Feb 11  Time: 9 am - 4 pm 
Price: $185, includes all the supplies and tool rental, as well as kiln-firing of your pieces.   One-day class.      

Instructor:  Courtenay Ecclestone

In our Beginner Fused Glass Class you will learn about fusing basics, such as COE's and glass compatibitly. The instructor will also show you how to cut glass and assemble it for the firing,  use various decorative elements, and lots more.  You will make several small-scale pieces, such as pendants and coasters.  The pieces will be fired for you and will be available for pick up the following week.

 

INTERMEDIATE FUSED GLASS CLASS

Dates: open    Time: 9 am - 4 pm 
Price: $185, includes all the supplies and tool rental, as well as kiln-firing of your pieces.   One-day class.      

Instructor:  Courtenay Ecclestone

In the Intermediate Fused Glass Class  the focus is on larger pieces and multiple firings.  You will make several pieces, that will be first fired flat and then slumped over molds for you.  You work will be available for pick up the following week.
