Deanna MacAulay Bio & Gallery

Deanna MacAulay was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. During her earlier years, she was an accomplished musician and performing artist. Despite a fond love for the performing arts, her passion soon became focused on fine arts.

In 2007, Deanna MacAulay graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design with a Bachelors of Fine Art, specializing in glass as her medium of choice, and her passion. In her final year of study she was awarded the Student Legacy Scholarship. In December of 2007, she was granted an artist residency. Calgary's Art Central and the Calgary Allied Arts Foundation funded Deanna through the St[art]@ Art Central program, allowing her a studio space located in Art Central. She maintains a current art practice utilizing her skills as a glassblower through Canmore, Alberta's, Hot Glass Studio.

Deanna has been working with glass for five years and enjoys all form of casting, fusing and handmade glass. She has participated in numerous exhibitions and her commissioned work has graced many a fine art collector's home.
